A folk dance from Southern Tamil Nadu, Oyilaatam is performed with much grace mostly by men, who dance waving coloured handkerchiefs from their hands. A rural art form mostly performed during festivals, Oyilaatam is accompanied by the Tavil (drums) and folk songs.
